Abstract
A new topology for a switched capacitor inverter the MG type is introduced here. This new circuit forms the basic building block for a three phase converter fed from a single dc source. Only two of the four semiconductor switches are driven at a high switching frequency, one during the positive half cycle and the other during the negative half cycle of the output voltage. The operation of the MG Switched capacitor Inverter is tested for a range of power factors. This circuit is suitable for a stand-alone PV System.
