Εστιάζει την έρευνα της στο Ρομαντισμό και τον Εθνικισμό, όπως εμφανίζεται στη Γερμανία από την Γαλλική Επανάσταση μέχρι την γερμανική ενοποίηση του 1871. Διερευνάται, επίσης, ο ρόλος της μουσικής υπό τις νέες μουσικο-αισθητικές προϋποθέσεις που διαμορφώθηκαν κατά τον 19ο αιώνα υπό τους όρους της απόλυτης μουσικής, όπως και η λειτουργία της μουσικής στο πλαίσιο διαμόρφωσης της γερμανικής εθνικής ταυτότητας. | Description: | This thesis examines Wagner's nationalist journey through music, inspired by Beethoven's work. It focuses on Romanticism and Nationalism, as it appears in Germany from the French Revolution to the German unification of 1871.
