Abstract: We inscribe several in-cladding-fibre filters using the same key femtosecond laser parameters, via an “inscribe and step”, plane-by-plane (Pl-by-Pl) approach, leading to ultra-compact waveguides and Mach Zehnders (MZs) that can support functional, integrated fibre Bragg gratings (FBGs).
