Abstract
This paper reports on the first picture-naming study involving children withspecific language impairment that investigates the lexical category of verbs andcompares performances with noun retrieval for the same children. Apart from a controlgroup consisting of typically developing children, another impaired or delayedpopulation was included: children with word-finding difficulties. All children tested aremonolingual speakers of Cypriot Greek, and comparisons with Standard Modern Greekare presented.
