Στη συνέχεια γίνεται μια λεπτομερής ανάλυση των διαφόρων μορφών του ελληνικού εθνικισμού που προκύπτουν από την ίδρυση του (νεο)ελληνικού κράτους έως την κατάρρευση της Μεγάλης Ιδέας, στη λεγόμενη Μικρασιατική Καταστροφή. Διερευνάται η «εθνική» ταυτότητα των προσφύγων της Μικράς Ασίας μέσα από τα έργα τριών συγγραφέων που βίωσαν τον πόλεμο και τον ξεριζωμό από το γενέθλιο τόπο τους. Τα μυθιστορήματα Γαλήνη και Αιολική Γη, του Ηλία Βενέζη, Η Παναγιά η Γοργόνα του Στρατή Μυριβήλη και Ματωμένα Χώματα και Οι Νεκροί Περιμένουν της Διδώς Σωτηρίου, συνεισφέρουν σημαντικά στο «εθνικό» αφήγημα που προβάλλει τις «αμετάβλητες αξίες» του ελληνικού πολιτισμού, μέσα από τη μνήμη, τα σύμβολα, το μύθο και την παράδοση. | Description: | This dissertation firstly examines the theories and historical context of the Nation and Nationalism. This is followed by a detailed analysis of the various forms of Greek nationalism that arise from the establishment of the Greek nation-state to the collapse of the so-called Great Idea. The “national” identity of the refugees from Asia Minor is then explored through the works of three writers, who experienced the war and the uprooting from their place of birth.
