Abstract: A flexible, plane-by-plane, direct-write, femtosecond-laser inscription method for tailored, tilted fibre Bragg gratings (TFBGs) is presented. We characterize 10th order gratings in the C-to-O bands and their refractometric sensitivity with grating order.
