dc.descriptionIn this thesis, the subjects are the wind energy, the exploitation of it in Cyprus and the benefits we have from that. One of the most important source of renewable energy is analyzed, as well as the procedure, the means and the mathematical distribution applicable in order to extract the numeric results. Also, the aim is to proof the positive effects of using wind energy In the various chapters, advantages and disadvantages of wind energy, Rayleigh and Weibull distributions, the energy policy of Cyprus based on EE standards, and our national goal will be presented. Then, conclusions from the chart’s results discussion are drawn and we present how the use of renewable energy sources is expected to contribute positively to the objectives of the energy policy of Cyprus.en_US
dc.description.abstractΣτη παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία, αντικείμενα μελέτης αποτελούν η αιολική ενέργεια, η εκμετάλλευση της στο νησί μας στην Κύπρο και τα οφέλη που έχουμε από αυτή. Αναλύεται μία από τις σημαντικότερες ανανεώσιμες πηγές ενέργειας, καθώς και η διαδικασία, τα μέσα και η μαθηματικές κατανομές που εφαρμόζονται για να έχουμε και τα αριθμητικά μας αποτελέσματα. Επίσης, στόχος είναι η απόδειξη των θετικών αποτελεσμάτων της χρήσης της αιολικής ενέργειας. Στα διάφορα κεφάλαια της εργασίας, θα παρουσιαστούν τα πλεονεκτήματα και μειονεκτήματα της αιολικής ενέργειας, οι κατανομές Rayleigh και Weibull, η ενεργειακή πολιτική στη Κύπρο με βάση οδηγιών από την Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση αλλά και ο εθνικός μας στόχος. Ακολούθως, παρουσιάζονται τα συμπεράσματα από το σχολιασμό των αποτελεσμάτων από διαγράμματα, αλλά και ότι οι χρήση ανανεώσιμων πηγών ενέργειας αναμένεται να συμβάλει θετικά στην υλοποίηση των στόχων της ενεργειακής πολιτικής της Κύπρου.en_US
