Abstract
INTRODUCTION: By the passage of time, the number of people seeking health services is rising. Thus, introducing technology and computer science in the hospital’s information systems seems to be one way for the modernization of information systems in hospitals. This event is the signal for the replacement of the old mapped information system with a new modernized electronic health information system, which is an important condition to be widely accepted by health professionals, mainly from nurses who are the backbone of the health system.
PURPOSE: The purpose of the literature review is to study the attitude of nurses towards the use of electronic information systems in hospitals.
MATERIAL AND METHODS: Searched Greek and English literature through electronic databases Pubmed, Google scholar, Cinahl and Medline. The method that used is the critical review of the literature.
RESULTS: In the research, according to the majority of samples from the survey showed that the nurses understand and applaud the benefits (discussed in the systematic review), which can gain from these systems. Additionally, nurses seem to be ready to face any difficulties that arise or may arise from the adoption of these systems.
DISCUSS AND CONCLUSIONS: Undoubtedly the above findings are the signs for governments to invest heavily in development and involvement of these systems in the health sector. So there will be great benefits in various areas of health such as medication , quality of nursing care and nursing plan , the financial sector and reduce medical errors
