Δηλαδή σε περίπτωση που έφηβος ξεπεράσει τα όρια της “εφηβικής κρίσης” και προχωρήσει σε κατάθλιψη, εάν δεν θεραπευτεί, θα συνεχιστεί η κατάσταση στην ενήλικη ζωή με σοβαρότερα συμπτώματα όπως αυτά του αυτοκτονικού ιδεασμού και της απόπειρας αυτοκτονίας. Συγκεκριμένα χαρακτηριστικά όπως το φύλο, ο χρόνος ύπνου, ο εκφοβισμός , η κατάχρηση ουσιών, πολύ σοβαρά οικογενειακά προβλήματα μαζί με άλλους παράγοντες θέτουν τα θεμέλια για την κατάθλιψη και τον αυτοκτονικό ιδεασμό. Γι’αυτό το λόγο η προαγωγή υγείας σε οικογένειες με εφήβους θεωρείται σημαντική εφόσον, εξ’αρχής βοηθά στην πρόληψη της κατάθλιψης και τελικά στη μείωση αποπειρών αυτοκτονίας. | Description: | With the modern data, the appearance of depression in adolescence is common as such there is a high risk continuing in the adult life. In case that an adolescent crosses over the lines of “adolescence crisis” and moves towards depression, if it is not treated, it will continue in the adult life with far more serious symptoms such as suicidal ideation and suicide attempts. In particular, characteristics such as gender, sleep time, bullying, substance abuse, serious family history in combination with other factors, sets the bedrock for depression and suicidal ideation.
