Παρόλο που η χρήση της τεχνολογίας είναι αρκετά διαδεδομένη, υπάρχει ελλιπής βιβλιογραφία για το πως οι λογοθεραπευτές χρησιμοποιούν την τεχνολογία στην Κύπρο. Στόχος αυτής της έρευνας ήταν να διερευνήσει πως οι λογοθεραπευτές αξιοποιούν τη νέα τεχνολογία για λογοθεραπευτικούς σκοπούς, σε ποιους πληθυσμούς και πόσο συχνά. Για την εκπλήρωση της παρούσας πτυχιακής δόθηκε ένα ερωτηματολόγιο σε 50 Κύπριους λογοθεραπευτές που περιείχε 17 ερωτήσεις με απαντήσεις πολλαπλής επιλογής. Σύμφωνα με τις απαντήσεις των συμμετεχόντων, γίνεται χρήση της τεχνολογίας για λογοθεραπευτικούς σκοπούς στην Κύπρο αλλά όχι τόσο συχνά και όχι τόσο εξειδικευμένα ανά πληθυσμό/διαταραχή. Οι περισσότεροι Κύπριοι λογοθεραπευτές χρησιμοποιούν το διαδίκτυο και τις εφαρμογές, πριν και κατά τη διάρκεια μιας συνεδρίας, ενώ φάνηκε πως σπάνια γίνεται χρήση τεχνολογίας όταν αφορά ενήλικα άτομα. Προτείνεται, μελλοντικά να γίνουν κι’ άλλες έρευνες που να αφορούν τη χρήση της τεχνολογίας στην Κύπρο, και να επαναληφθεί συλλογή δεδομένων του συγκεκριμένου ερωτηματολογίου μετά το πέρας της πανδημίας του κορονωϊού, αφού πιστεύεται πως τα δεδομένα θα έχουν αλλάξει. | Description: | Technology in the field of speech and language therapy can be used in many ways and in several populations. Even though the use of technology is generally taken for granted, there is a lack in bibliography on the way speech therapists use technology in Cyprus. The aim of this study was to research how speech therapists make good use of the state of the art technology for speech and language therapeutic purposes, in which populations is used and the frequency of the usage. For the completion of the present study, a questionnaire was given to 50 Cypriot speech therapists which contained 17 questions with multiple choice answers. According to the answers of the participants, technology is used for speech therapeutic purposes in Cyprus but not so frequently and specialized per population/ disorder. Most of the Cypriot speech therapists the internet and applications are used, prior and during the session, however, the use of technology is very rare in sessions for adults. It is recommended that more studies on the use of technology in Cyprus should be conducted in the future.
