| dc.description | Introduction: It is a fact that the introduction of a patient in the ICU, is an unexpected situation for his family. Τhis in combination with the ignorance about the health condition of their beloved one, the way the unit works and the unknown environment can have serious consequences for both patients and their relatives. Objective: The purpose of this study is to investigate the importance of communication with relatives of patients in the ICU. Material and Method: the articles were searched in the databases: Pubmed, Cinahl and Medline. In my initial search I selected 150 articles, 9 of which were included in my study based on the entry criteria. Results: Nurses seemed to have the greatest responsibility for communicating with the relatives of the patients of the ICU. The environment, the impersonal approach and the different perceptions of the care processes are stressful factors for the family and increases the risk of mental disorders for the families of the sufferers. As well as the existence of psychological services in the hospital contributes to better information management. Conclusions: The right ways and techniques of communication, the elimination of any obstacles and the better understanding of the information contribute significantly to the prevention of mental disorders of the family members but also to the improvement of the provided care. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Εισαγωγή: Είναι γεγονός ότι η εισαγωγή του ασθενή στην Μ.Ε.Θ. είναι μια πρωτόγνωρη κατάσταση για την οικογένεια του. Αυτό από μόνο του διαταράσσει τον οικογενειακό κύκλο. Όλα αυτά και σε συνδυασμό της άγνοιας για την κατάσταση της υγείας του αγαπημένου τους προσώπου, του τρόπου λειτουργίας της μονάδας αλλά και του άγνωστου περιβάλλοντος μπορεί να έχει σοβαρές επιπτώσεις τόσο στους ασθενείς όσο και στους συγγενείς τους. Σκοπός: Σκοπός της παρούσας εργασίας είναι η διερεύνηση της σημαντικότητας της επικοινωνίας με τους συγγενείς των ασθενών της Μ.Ε.Θ. Υλικό και Μέθοδος: η αναζήτηση των άρθρων έγινε στις βάσεις δεδομένων: Pubmed, Cinahl και Medline. Στην αρχική μου αναζήτηση επέλεξα 150 άρθρα εκ των οποίων τα 9 συμπεριλήφθηκαν στην μελέτη μου με βάση τα κριτήρια εισόδου που καθορίστηκαν Αποτελέσματα: Οι νοσηλευτές φάνηκε ότι διακατέχουν την μεγαλύτερη ευθύνη επικοινωνίας με τους συγγενείς των ασθενών της Μ.Ε.Θ. Το περιβάλλον, η απρόσωπη προσέγγιση αλλά και η μη συμφωνία αντιλήψεων για την φροντίδα αποτελούν στρεσσογόνους παράγοντες για την οικογένεια επίσης οδηγούν σε αύξηση του ποσοστού κινδύνου ψυχικών διαταραχών για τις οικογένειες των πασχόντων. Η ύπαρξη ψυχολογικών υπηρεσιών στο νοσοκομείο συμβάλει στην καλύτερη διαχείριση των πληροφοριών. Συμπεράσματα: Οι σωστοί τρόποι και τεχνικές επικοινωνίας, η εξάλειψη των οποιονδήποτε εμποδίων και η καλύτερη κατανόηση των πληροφοριών συμβάλουν σημαντικά στην πρόληψη των ψυχικών διαταραχών των μελών της οικογένειας αλλά και στην βελτίωση της παρεχόμενης φροντίδας | en_US |
