We found that there is always softening of the elastic constants of these isotropic systems, even in the case of nearly tetrahedral coordinations. The local stresses play a very important role in determining the hybridization of a site during the formation of the amorphous phase. | URI: | https://hdl.handle.net/20.500.14279/1376 | ISSN: | 10797114 | DOI: | 10.1103/PhysRevLett.73.2460 | Rights: | © American Physical Society | Type: | Article | Affiliation: | University of Crete | Affiliation : | University of Crete Foundation for Research & Technology-Hellas (F.O.R.T.H.) |
