Abstract: The purpose of this research note is to invite scholars to consider how the notion of neoteny can be integrated in future tourism research. The note does not come as a deus ex machina for tourism transformation. Instead, it triggers inquisitiveness about how destinations can apply neoteny to rejuvenate their tourism products and favorably shape tourist experiences.
