Δηλαδή, πώς μια μεταβολή στην τιμή του αργού πετρελαίου επηρεάζει το ΑΕΠ (Ακαθάριστό Εγχώριο Προϊόν) μιας χώρας. Για να κατανοήσουμε αυτή την επίδραση, χρησιμοποιείται δείγμα από διάφορες χώρες οι οποίες είναι μέλη του Οργανισμού των χωρών εξαγωγής πετρελαίου (ΟΠΕΚ) και εκτιμάται μοντέλο απλής γραμμικής παλινδρόμησης στην SPSS. Τα αποτελέσματα, δείχνουν πως οι τιμές του αργού πετρελαίου ανά βαρέλι, έχουν μερικώς επίδραση πάνω στην οικονομική δραστηριότητα μιας χώρας αλλά ταυτόχρονα μπορούμε να πούμε και σημαντική επίδραση. Επιλέχθηκαν οι χρονολογίες 1990 μέχρι 2010, έτσι ώστε να δούμε τί επιδράσεις υπήρξαν κατά τη διάρκεια αυτών των χρόνων και πώς επηρεάστηκε το Ακαθάριστο Εγχώριο Προϊόν. Οι χώρες είναι η Αλγερία, Αγκόλα, το Ιράν, Κατάρ, η Λιβύη, Νιγηρία, Σαουδική Αραβία και τα Ηνωμένα Αραβικά Εμιράτα. Επίσης, ήθελα να εξετάσω πώς η χρηματοοικονομική κρίση στις Η.Π.Α, επηρέασε τις τιμές του πετρελαίου και κατά συνέπεια το ΑΕΠ των χωρών. | Description: | This thesis examines the relationship between the price of crude oil and the economic development of a country. That is, how a change in the price of crude oil affects a country's GDP (Gross Domestic Product). To understand this effect, a sample is used from several countries that are members of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and a simple linear regression model in SPSS is estimated. The results show that crude oil prices per barrel have a partial effect on the economic activity of a country but at the same time we can say a significant impact. Dates from 1990 to 2010 were selected to see what effects there were over these years and how the Gross Domestic Product was affected. The countries are Algeria, Angola, Iran, Qatar, Libya, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
