Biography
Sokrates Sokratous processes a Diploma in General Nursing, Degree in Nursing with Education, Postgraduate Diploma in Education, Degree in Primary Education, Postgraduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing, Master in Management in Health, Ph.D. in Mental Health Nursing. He joined the Department of Nursing, Health Sciences, University of Technology in 2008 as a Lecturer and then as a senior Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing. Today he is Assistant Professor. He is a Erasmus coordinator for the Nursing Department of CUT. Previously he employed at School of Nursing in Nicosia, Ministry of Health, as a Lecturer in Nursing (1994 - 2008).
His research interests are focused on the detection of mental health disorders in children, adolescents, young adults and the elderly with a view to early diagnosis, intervention and treatment to improve their quality of life. his research focuses on co-operation with various areas, including public policy, epidemiology, neurobiology, and treatment of addiction disorders.
