Biography
Charoula Piskopianou has obtained her BSc in Chemistry from the University of Cyprus and her master’s degree (MSc) in «Energy Resource Management» from the Cyprus University of Technology in the specialization of wastewater management. After her studies, she worked as a chemist at the department of Quality Control of a pharmaceutical company in Cyprus and as Chemist at the Municipality of Limassol, where she was responsible for the «Lab of Air Pollution Monitory» which was established in the framework of a European project. Since 2008 she has been working as a Research Fellow at the Laboratory of Environmental Catalysis of the Department of Environmental Science and Technology of the Cyprus University of Technology. Her research interests focus particularly on the development and optimization of wastewater treatment and catalytic pollution control technologies.
