Biography
Rogiros Tapakis is a PhD Candidate under the supervision of Lecturer Alexandros Charalambides at the Department of Environmental Science and Technology since February 2011. He holds a diploma in Mechanical Engineering and an MSc in Energy Production and Management from the National Technical University of Athens. His undergraduate thesis was "Parameterization in Trombe Wall - Sustainable Building design" and his postgraduate thesis was "Evaluation of the CO2 emission scenarios in a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal". He has worked in consulting firms in Renewable Energy Sources, Environmental and Sustainable building studies and is a member of the Technical Chamber of Cyprus and Greece. Research Interests: Energy Production and Management, Renewable Energy Sources, Solar Irradiance Modeling, Simulation and Prediction of the Performance of Energy Systems.
