Description
The project aims to design and develop a web-based knowledge platform on Female genital mutilation (FGM) that will gather easily accessible (and culturally appropriate) information and support to professionals, to deliver victim support more effectively, help prevent FGM and protect women and girls living with or at risk of FGM and serve as a resource and education center. More importantly, it seeks to improve the public and professional knowledge on FGM to better prevent and address this specific form of violence against women and girls as defined in the Council of Europe Convention of Violence against Women and Domestic Violence (Istanbul Convention).
