Description
HERO is a research project that has been made possible through the European Erasmus+ programme. It will take place for the time span 1/9/2020 – 31/12/2022 in Cyprus, Greece, Italy and Portugal. HERO involves six partner organizations, namely the Materia Group, Aktios, Computer Solutions S.A., the Cuprys University of Technology, DomusVida and the National Institute of Health and Science on Aging of Italy. The main focus of the project is the development of a process for the training of refugees and migrants in the field of elderly care, in order to tackle two major problems that Europe is currently facing, the increasing demand for the care of the ageing population as well as the social and financial integration of the refugees arriving in Europe from the Middle Eastern and African countries.
