Description
The ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence (ECoE) at the Cyprus University of Technology aspires to become a Digital Innovation Hub for Earth Observation (EO) in the Eastern Mediterranean, the Middle East, and North Africa. In this context, the EU-funded ATARI project aims to improve EO research and modelling at ECoE to establish a climate and weather research centre in the region. The project involves collaboration with three research institutes and one SME, focusing on atmospheric and solar radiation modelling and remote sensing. It aims to enhance atmospheric remote sensing measurements, better understand atmospheric processes, and develop applications for climate, energy, and environmental services. An experiment will focus on dust intrusions, aerosol characterisation, and their effects in Cyprus
