Yiannis Georgiou is a Ph.D. candidate, while at the same time he works as a Research Associate at the Department of Communication and Internet Studies, at the Cyprus University of Technology. He holds a master’s degree in “Learning in Science Education” and a BA in primary education. He has worked as a Research Associate at the Learning in Science Group (LSG) at the University of Cyprus between 2007-2010, as well as at the Cyprus Center of Environmental Research and Education (2010-2011). Since 2011, he serves as a member at the administrative council of the Cyprus Center of Environmental Research and Education. From 2007 until today he has worked as a Research Associate at national and European research programs such as the “Flora” project (2006-2009), funded by the Research Promotion Foundation, and the FP7 project “Professional Reflection Oriented Focus on Inquiry-based Learning and Education through Science” (PROFILES). Currently, he is involved as a research at the FP7 Science-in-Society project “Promoting Attainment of Responsible Research & Innovation in Science Education” (PARRISE). Ηe was named Co-chair of the JURE 2015 taking place in Limassol, Cyprus and hosted by the Cyprus University of Technology.
