We derive an analytical two-dimensional solution which allows for an accurate approximation of the three-dimensional initially isotropic problem. From the analytical solutions we determine a new generalized stability criterion for the evolution of the turbulent kinetic energy in this class of flows | URI: | https://hdl.handle.net/20.500.14279/8743 | ISSN: | 10706631 | DOI: | 10.1063/1.2821911 | Rights: | © American Institute of Physics | Type: | Article | Affiliation : | University of Cyprus | Publication Type: | Peer Reviewed |
