Panigyrakis, George G.
Πανηγυράκης, Γεώργιος
Department
George G. Panigirakis is Professor and Dean of Faculty of Communication and Media Studies at Cyprus University of Technology. He has been Director of the MBA program of Athens University of Economics and Business for 12 years, where he is now on a three-year leave. He holds a Master Degree (MSc) and a PhD in Marketing from the University of Wales (UK). His research interests are Marketing, Advertising, Brand Management, International Marketing and Integrated Marketing Communications. He has taught at the Paris International Higher Education Institution of Business (Groupe ESSEC), at the University of Stirling (UK) and is a Visiting Professor at Universities in Europe and Asia such as HEC, Audencia Nantes, Rennes and Lille in France and the University of Zarosa in Spain. He is a member of the editorial board of 4 International Journals; Journal of International Advertising, Journal of Product and Brand Management, Journal of Corporate Communications & Journal of Marketing Communications. He has participated and coordinated numerous national and international research programs. He has written 14 books in the broader field of Marketing in Greek, English, French and Portuguese and has authored 23 chapters in a collection of international publication articles. His articles have been published in dozens of international journals with hundreds of citations. Some of them are the International Journal of Advertising, Journal of Marketing Communication, Asia Pacific Journal of Marketing and Logistics, International Journal of Retail & Distribution Management and Journal of Product Management. He has made many announcements and acted as Track Chair for major international accredited academic conferences such as American Marketing Association (AMA), European Marketing Academy Conference (EMAC), Global Marketing Conference (GMC), International Conference on Corporate and Marketing Communications, International Conference on Research in Advertising. Finally, he has been a consultant, trainer and researcher at International, National Organizations and companies such as: World Bank, FAO / United Nations, Allianz, Vodafone, Philip Morris Hellas, 3E, Playmobil, Roche Hellas, Hertz Auto Hellas, Group VW, Toyota, Nestle, National Bank, Bank of Greece, Eurodiet and IKEA. He is also a founding member of the Greek Institute of Customer Service.
