Σκοπός: Σκοπός της παρούσας εργασίας είναι η διερέυνηση της συμμόρφωσης των νοσηλευτών στην χρήση ΜΑΠ καθώς προετοιμάζουν και χορηγούν τα χημειοθεραπευτικά φάρμακα. Υλικό και Μέθοδος: Η μέθοδος που χρησιμοποιήθηκε ήταν η αναζήτηση της ελληνικής και διεθνούς βιβλιογραφίας σε βάσεις δεδομένων (Google scholar, PUBMED, Παντογνώστης- Βιβλιοθήκη Τεχνολογικού Πανεπιστημίου Κύπρου) με λέξεις κλειδιά (nurse or nursing) and (hazardous drugs or antineoplastic drugs ) σε όλους τους πιθανούς συνδιασμούς. Αποτελέσματα: Η αναζήτηση κατέληξε σε 7 μελέτες , κατα την περίοδο 2009 – 2013 που πληρούσαν τα προκαθορισμένα κριτήρια. Η συχνότερη χρήση ΜΑΠ είναι τα γάντια, η μάσκα και η ποδιά ενώ πιο σπάνια χρησιμοποιουνται τα γυαλιά και το καπέλο, όπως και η χρήση των ειδικών γαντιών ανθεκτικών στην χημειοθεραπεία. Χαμηλός είναι ο βαθμός συμμόρφωσης καθώς σχεδον μόνο το 50% του προσωπικού χρησιμοποιεί όλα τα είδη ΜΑΠ που είναι διαθέσιμα. Ακόμη οι συνθήκες στήριξης της συμμόρφωσης των νοσηλευτών εκτελούνται στα περισσότερα τμήματα εργασίας με ύπαρξη γραπτών πολιτικών και ενδουπηρεσιακών προγραμμάτων εκπαίδευσης. Συμπεράσματα: Η ύπαρξη συνεχούς εκπαίδευσης, η παρακολούθηση σεμιναρίων και η σωστή πρακτική για απόκτηση εμπειρίας και στήριξη της συμμόρφωσης είναι αναγκαία στον τομέα αυτό. | Description: | Introduction: Chemotherapeutic drugs have been shown that they compromise the health of nurses systematically involved in their preparation and administration. Aim: The purpose of this study is to investigate the compliance of nurses in the use of PPE as they prepare and administer the chemotherapeutic drugs. Material and Methods: The method used was the quest for the Greek and international literature databases (Google scholar, PUBMED, Omniscient - Cyprus University of Technology Library) wih keywords (nurse or nursing) and (hazardous drugs or antineoplastic drugs) in all possible combinations. Results: The search ended up to 7 studies , during the period from 2009 to 2013 that filled the criteria . The most frequent use of PPE were the gloves, the mask and gown and rarely glasses and a hat was used, as also the use of special gloves resistant to chemotherapy . Low is the degree of compliance as only half of the staff is using all kinds of PPE that are available . Also the support conditions of the compliance of nurses performed in most parts of working units with the existence of written policies and inservice training programs .
