Abstract: Multi level inverter technology has overcome the common three level inverters, as for the better output and performance, one of the most common use of the inverter is to produce pure sine wave from dc supply however this paper present Multi level inverter to be used as harmonic source, this paper will discuss the Inverter configuration to produce 9 levels output (typical) or can be boosted to produce 11 or 13 with using 2 extra switches. This paper discusses the switching strategy to control the inverter, and calculate the switching angles for the required output signal.
