By addressing the challenges of climate change, the UAE aims to achieve a resilient and environmentally friendly economy, improving the citizens’ quality of life. The National Climate Change Plan of the UAE for the period from 2017 to 2050 is a comprehensive framework that effectively manages greenhouse gas emissions while supporting economic growth. As you engage with these thought-provoking artworks, we encourage you to envision your contribution to the battle against climate change. Each design serves as a call to action, urging you to adopt sustainable practices in your everyday life, advocate for policies that prioritize the environment, and support initiatives that promote environmental responsibility. Together, let us harness the creative power of poster to inspire change, spark conversations, and forge a path towards a sustainable future. dc.description.abstractThe 5th Emirates International Poster Festival (EIPF) centered around the theme “Design for Climate Change,” where creativity and innovation converge to address the pressing global concern of climate change. This edition of EIPF coincides with the UAE’s hosting of the 28th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) in November 2023 at Expo City Dubai. This edition of EIPF showcases the significant role of design in raising awareness about climate issues and providing innovative solutions to construct a sustainable and resilient world. The Emirates International Poster Festival (EIPF) stands as a distinctive and creative platform in the MENA region, dedicated to presenting and honoring contemporary poster design from across the globe.
