| dc.description | The road network of a country is called the set of streets that exist in it and satisfy the needs for transportation. The object of this dissertation is the flexible pavement with special emphasis in the types of damages, the design process of pavement with four methods (AASHTO, Asphalt Institute, British method and Department of Public Works Cyprus method), and recycling. The first section introduces the objectives of this thesis and the methodology followed for its writing. In the second section is analysed the pavement and its structure, while simultaneously there is a brief historical review. The third section describes the soil and refers how the soils classified and how this directly affects the thickness of the road layers. The damage of the pavements is described in the fourth section. The fifth, analyses the method of calculating the stresses and deformation of a multilayer system. The sixth and most important section describes of four methods. In the seventh section there is a practical application of the that of the methods that analysed in the previous section. The eighth refers to the usefulness of recycling pavements and presents the existing methods. The last section is the conclusion of the dissertation. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Το οδικό δίκτυο μιας χώρας ονομάζεται το σύνολο των οδών που υπάρχουν σε αυτή και ικανοποιούν τις ανάγκες για μεταφορά. Αντικείμενο της πτυχιακής αυτής εργασίας είναι η μελέτη του εύκαμπτου οδοστρώματος δίνοντας ιδιαίτερη έμφαση στις φθορές, την διαστασιολόγηση οδοστρώματος με τέσσερις μεθόδους (AASHTO, Ινστιτούτο Ασφάλτου, Βρετανική, Τμήμα Δημοσίων Έργων Κύπρου) και την ανακύκλωση . Στη πρώτη ενότητα γίνεται μια εισαγωγή σχετικά με τους στόχους της πτυχιακής και την μεθοδολογία που ακολουθήθηκε για τη συγγραφή της. Στη δεύτερη ενότητα αναλύεται το οδόστρωμα και η δομή του, ενώ παράλληλα γίνεται και μια σύντομη ιστορική αναδρομή. Στη τρίτη ενότητα περιγράφεται το έδαφος και γίνεται αναφορά στο τρόπο κατάταξης εδαφών και πως αυτό επηρεάζει άμεσα τα πάχη των στρώσεων του οδοστρώματος. Οι φθορές που παρουσιάζουν τα οδοστρώματα περιγράφονται στην τέταρτη ενότητα. Στην πέμπτη αναλύεται η μέθοδος υπολογισμού τάσεων και παραμορφώσεων πολυστρωματικού συστήματος. Στην έκτη και πιο σημαντική ενότητα περιγράφονται τέσσερις μέθοδοι διαστασιολόγησης και στην έβδομη, γίνεται μια πρακτική εφαρμογή των μεθόδων που αναλύθηκαν στην προηγούμενη ενότητα. Στην όγδοη γίνεται αναφορά στην χρησιμότητα της ανακύκλωσης και παρουσιάζονται οι μέθοδοι που υπάρχουν. Στη τελευταία ενότητα παραθέτονται τα συμπεράσματα της πτυχιακής εργασίας. | en_US |
