| dc.description | The aim of this study is to investigate the role of residents in the implementation of sustainability through cultural tourism, as well as their perceptions of sustainable development. The research focused on the archaeological site of Philopappos, which is located very close to the rock of the Acropolis. The adoption of a qualitative exploratory method was deemed appropriate for the examination of the issues that arose. The main research tool was the interviews, which took place at the archaeological site but also through internet and telephone calls. A total of 17 interviews were conducted, which is justified by the difficulty of finding individuals due to the quarantine and the ban on inter-municipal travel within Attica - measures imposed due to Covid-19 - during the investigation. To form a complete picture of the viability of the archaeological site, data from field observations, photographs, published articles and archival material, which was accessible via the internet, were used. The findings that emerged from the research process escaped the theoretical background on which the research was based. Nevertheless, they are of particular interest for the contribution of a portion of the residents, living in areas adjacent to the archaeological site, whose action focuses on the protection of the natural and cultural landscape of the case study. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Σκοπός αυτής της μελέτης είναι η ανάδειξη του ρόλου που έχουν οι κάτοικοι στην υλοποίηση της αειφορίας μέσω του πολιτιστικού τουρισμού, καθώς και των αντιλήψεών τους περί της βιώσιμης ανάπτυξης. Η έρευνα επικεντρώθηκε στον αρχαιολογικό χώρο Φιλοπάππου, ο οποίος βρίσκεται σε πολύ κοντινή απόσταση από τον βράχο της Ακρόπολης. Για την εξέταση των θεμάτων που ανέκυψαν κρίθηκε κατάλληλη η υιοθέτηση της ποιοτικής διερευνητικής μεθόδου. Βασικό ερευνητικό εργαλείο ήταν οι συνεντεύξεις, οι οποίες πραγματοποιήθηκαν στην αρχαιολογική περιοχή αλλά και μέσω διαδικτυακών και τηλεφωνικών κλήσεων. Συνολικά διεξήχθησαν 17 συνεντεύξεις, γεγονός που δικαιολογείται από τη δυσκολία εύρεσης ατόμων εξαιτίας της καραντίνας και της απαγόρευσης των διαδημοτικών μετακινήσεων εντός της Αττικής – μέτρων που επιβλήθηκαν λόγω της Covid-19 – κατά τη διάρκεια διεξαγωγής της έρευνας. Προκειμένου να σχηματιστεί μια ολοκληρωμένη εικόνα όσον αφορά τη βιωσιμότητα στην αρχαιολογική περιοχή αξιοποιήθηκαν στοιχεία, που προέκυψαν από την επιτόπια παρατήρηση, φωτογραφίες, δημοσιευμένα άρθρα και αρχειακό υλικό, που ήταν προσβάσιμο μέσω του διαδικτύου. Τα ευρήματα που αναδύθηκαν από την ερευνητική διαδικασία ξέφυγαν από το θεωρητικό υπόβαθρο, στο οποίο βασίστηκε η έρευνα. Παρ’ όλα αυτά παρουσιάζουν ιδιαίτερο ενδιαφέρον ως προς τη συνεισφορά μιας μερίδας των κατοίκων, που ζουν σε γειτνιάζουσες του αρχαιολογικού χώρου περιοχές, η δράση των οποίων επικεντρώνεται στην προστασία του φυσικού και πολιτιστικού τοπίου της περίπτωσης μελέτης. | en_US |
