| dc.description | This dissertation is the subject of "aging asphalt samples" and has been carried out within the framework of the Civil Engineering Program of Civil Engineering of the Cyprus University of Technology. In the study there are five sections where there is a basis for laboratory research based on the effect of time on secular mixtures. Initially, it is referred to the roadside and analysis of basic concepts such as the subsoil pavement composition, the different types of layer and its structure. Then in the second section, the main agents of aging are presented and from which it comes from. In particular, the PAV method is analyzed where it is a laboratory long-term aging method. In the third section there is a description of the factors that affect the design of flexible pavements, ie climatic conditions, traffic burden, and subsoil characteristics. Subsequently, the fourth section refers to the Department of Public Works and the dimensioning methods are highlighted. Emphasis is placed on the three types of pavement, i.e. NP1, NP2, and NP3. In the fifth and last section, the results and conclusions are presented by the studies of the Department of Public Works in the Republic of Cyprus. The purpose of studying is to aim at long-term aging of asphalt that we will achieve it with the various studies from all Cyprus and the right pavement dimension. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Η παρούσα πτυχιακή εργασία έχει ως θέμα την «Γήρανση Δειγμάτων Ασφάλτου» και έχει διεξαχθεί στα πλαίσια του προγράμματος σπουδών του κλάδου Πολιτικών Μηχανικών του Τεχνολογικού Πανεπιστημίου Κύπρου. Στη μελέτη υπάρχουν πέντε ενότητες όπου γίνεται ανάλυση του θέματος βάση εργαστηριακών ερευνών σχετικά με την επίδραση του χρόνου πάνω σε ασφαλτικά μίγματα. Αρχικά αναφέρεται στο οδόστρωμα και στην ανάλυση βασικών εννοιών όπως η σύνθεση οδοστρώματος υπέδαφος, τα διάφορα είδη της στρώσης και τη δομή του. Στην συνέχεια στην δεύτερη ενότητα παρουσιάζονται οι βασικοί παράγοντες της γήρανσης και από που προέρχεται. Συγκεκριμένα γίνεται ανάλυση της μεθόδου PAV όπου είναι μια εργαστηριακή μέθοδος μακροπρόθεσμης γήρανσης. Στην τρίτη ενότητα γίνεται περιγραφή των παραγόντων που επηρεάζουν τον σχεδιασμό εύκαμπτων οδοστρωμάτων δηλαδή οι κλιματολογικές συνθήκες, το κυκλοφοριακό φόρτο, και τα χαρακτηριστικά υπεδάφους. Ακολούθως, η τέταρτη ενότητα αναφέρεται στο τμήμα δημοσίων έργων και τονίζονται οι μέθοδοι διαστασιολόγισης. Δίνεται έμφαση στους τρεις τύπους οδοστρώματος δηλαδή στο NP1, NP2, και NP3. Στην Πέμπτη και τελευταία ενότητα παρουσιάζονται γραφικά τα αποτελέσματα και τα συμπεράσματα από τις μελέτες του Τμήματος των Δημοσίων Έργων της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας. Σκοπός, λοιπόν της μελέτης, είναι να στοχεύουμε στην μακροπρόθεσμη γήρανση της ασφάλτου που αυτό θα το πετύχουμε με τις διάφορες μελέτες από όλη την Κύπρο και στην σωστή διαστασιολόγιση οδοστρώματος. | en_US |
