| dc.description | Infrastructure which is made of reinforced concrete is widespread throughout the world, due to the good cooperation of steel with concrete along with the large construction requirements they meet undoubtedly. However, reinforced concrete has one major drawback which could not be other than the corrosion of steel reinforcement. The serious problem which arises from this phenomenon is the consequences which it brings. It brings aesthetic damage to structures, reduces their reliability in terms of staticity and safety, dramatically reduces their service life and burdens the owners with huge amounts of money for the restoration of the damages. In this thesis, the various types of concrete and steel reinforcement, the causes, the mechanism, the consequences of corrosion, the methods of prevention against corrosion, the methods of restoration of corroded reinforcement in existing structures and the inspection methods of corrosion in reinforced concrete are analyzed. Moreover, the results and the conclusion of an online questionnaire are presented and analyzed. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Οι υποδομές οι οποίες είναι φτιαγμένες από οπλισμένο σκυρόδεμα είναι ευρέως διαδεδομένες ανά το παγκόσμιο, λόγω της καλής συνεργασίας του χάλυβα με το σκυρόδεμα και των μεγάλων κατασκευαστικών απαιτήσεων τις οποίες αναμφίβολα ικανοποιούν. Εντούτοις, το οπλισμένο σκυρόδεμα έχει ένα μεγάλο μειονέκτημα το οποίο δε θα μπορούσε να είναι άλλο από τη διάβρωση του χάλυβα οπλισμού. Το μεγάλο πρόβλημα που δημιουργείται εξαιτίας αυτού του φαινομένου είναι οι συνέπειες οι οποίες επιφέρει. Επιφέρει αισθητικές φθορές στις κατασκευές, μειώνει την αξιοπιστία τους σε θέματα στατικότητας και ασφάλειας, μειώνει δραματικά τη διάρκεια ζωής τους και επιβαρύνονται οι ιδιοκτήτες με τεράστια ποσά για την αποκατάσταση των φθορών. Σε αυτή την πτυχιακή εργασία αναλύονται οι διάφοροι τύποι σκυροδέματος και χάλυβα οπλισμού, τα αίτια, ο μηχανισμός και οι συνέπειες της διάβρωσης, οι μέθοδοι πρόληψης κατά της διάβρωσης, οι μέθοδοι αποκατάστασης διαβρωμένου οπλισμένου σκυροδέματος σε υφιστάμενες κατασκευές και οι μέθοδοι επιθεώρησης της κατάστασης του οπλισμού στο σκυρόδεμα. Ακόμη, γίνεται παρουσίαση των αποτελεσμάτων και των συμπερασμάτων ενός ηλεκτρονικού ερωτηματολογίου. | en_US |
