| dc.description | Introduction: The incidences of gestational diabetes mellitus are increasing drastically in many countries worldwide among women. Gestational diabetes is a major public health problem, as it proposes a risk factor of many conditions, including cardiovascular diseases. Aim: The purpose of this study is to investigate if gestational diabetes mellitus increases the possibilities of cardiovascular diseases. Material and Method: The method that used in the study was to search for the relevant Greek and international bibliography in electronic databases PubMed, NCBI and Google Scholar with keywords diabetes or diabetic or gdm, gestational or pregnancy, nurse or nurses or nursing, cardiovascular diseases or CVDs. Results: The research ended up in 7 studies, during the period 2014-2018 where they were selected based on predefined criteria. Through the research of the bibliography it was found that women diagnosed with gestational diabetes mellitus during pregnancy have more possibilities of having cardiovascular diseases. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Εισαγωγή: Η συχνότητα εμφάνισης του σακχαρώδη διαβήτη κύησης που σχετίζεται με την εγκυμοσύνη αυξάνεται όλο και περισσότερο και αποτελεί σημαντικό πρόβλημα για πολλές γυναίκες σε όλο τον κόσμο. Πιο συγκεκριμένα, ο σακχαρώδης διαβήτης κύησης αποτελεί παράγοντα κινδύνου για την ανάπτυξη καρδιαγγειακών παθήσεων. Σκοπός: Σκοπός της παρούσας εργασίας είναι να διερευνηθεί εάν ο σακχαρώδης διαβήτης κύησης αυξάνει τις πιθανότητες καρδιαγγειακών νόσων. Υλικό και μέθοδος: Η μέθοδος που χρησιμοποιήθηκε στην μελέτη ήταν η αναζήτηση της σχετικής ελληνικής και διεθνούς βιβλιογραφίας σε βάσεις δεδομένων PubMed, NCBI και Google Scholar με λέξεις κλειδιά diabetes or diabetic or GDM, gestational or pregnancy, nurse or nurses or nursing, cardiovascular diseases or CVDs. Αποτελέσματα: Η αναζήτηση κατέληξε σε 7 μελέτες, κατά την περίοδο 2014-2018 που πληρούσαν τα προκαθορισμένα κριτήρια. Μέσα από την αναζήτηση της βιβλιογραφίας διαπιστώθηκε πως γυναίκες που διαγνώστηκαν με σακχαρώδη διαβήτη κύησης στη διάρκεια της εγκυμοσύνης είχαν περισσότερες πιθανότητες εμφάνισης καρδιαγγειακών παθήσεων. Συμπεράσματα: Η εμφάνιση σακχαρώδη διαβήτη κύησης συνδέθηκε με αυξημένο κίνδυνο εμφάνισης καρδιαγγειακών παθήσεων. | en_US |
