| dc.description | The issue of corrosion of steel reinforcement of reinforced concrete is particularly important, especially in areas where much of both private and public structures and projects are in a highly corrosive environment, such as in Cyprus and Greece. Therefore, in the relevant literature, but also in the existing codes per country and region, there are both appropriate control methods and preferably permitted methods of restoration of reinforced concrete structures whose reinforcement has been affected by corrosion. The present paper examines the issue of corrosion of reinforced concrete in concrete, analyzing both the theoretical background of corrosion and the factors that affect its appearance and growth rate. Furthermore, the existing corrosion control methods are presented, as well as the methods available for the repair of structures with corrosion problems in reinforcement. Finally, and based on the presentation of the above, the proposal for the repair of an existing construction is presented as a case study and application of the appropriate technical repair. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Το ζήτημα της διάβρωσης του χαλύβδινου οπλισμού του οπλισμένου σκυροδέματος είναι ιδιαιτέρως σημαντικό, ιδιαίτερα σε περιοχές όπου μεγάλο μέρος τόσο ιδιωτικών όσο και δημοσίων δομών και έργων βρίσκονται σε ιδιαίτερα διαβρωτικό περιβάλλον, όπως στην Κύπρο και την Ελλάδα. Ως εκ τούτου, στην σχετική βιβλιογραφία, αλλά και στους υπάρχοντες κώδικες ανά χώρα και περιοχή υπάρχουν καταγεγραμμένες τόσο οι κατάλληλες μέθοδοι ελέγχου όσο και οι προτιμώμενες ανά περίσταση μέθοδοι αποκατάστασης δομών από οπλισμένο σκυρόδεμα των οποίων ο οπλισμός έχει προσβληθεί από διάβρωση. Η παρούσα εργασία εξετάζει βιβλιογραφικά το ζήτημα της διάβρωσης του οπλισμού στο σκυρόδεμα αναλύοντας τόσο το θεωρητικό υπόβαθρο που αφορά στην διάβρωση, όσο και τους παράγοντες που επηρεάζουν την εμφάνιση και τον ρυθμό ανάπτυξης της. Περαιτέρω, παρουσιάζονται οι υπάρχουσες μέθοδοι ελέγχου ως προς την διάβρωση αλλά και οι μέθοδοι που είναι διαθέσιμες για την επισκευή δομών με προβλήματα διάβρωσης σε οπλισμό. Τέλος, και με βάση τη παρουσίαση των παραπάνω, παρουσιάζεται η πρόταση για την επισκευή υπάρχουσας κατασκευής ως μελέτης περίπτωσης και εφαρμογής της κατάλληλης τεχνικής επιδιόρθωσης. | en_US |
