| dc.description | The problem, which my thesis is trying to solve, is the current branding situation of Larnaca International Airport. It needs improvement compared to its' name, corporate identity and promotion, as they are problematic. The practical design aims to suggest design solutions as for these deficiencies, which are the lack of a unique corporate identity and its' promotion, as well as the malfunctioning inscriptions in the airport area. The study is divided in two phases, theoretical and action plans. The first phase includes the literature review, in which existing surveys studying other occasions of airports in other countries and the branding and visual identity, are being studied. Data collection from stakeholders -employees or customers- will then be followed, in order to get detailed information and better understanding about the problems. This data collection will then contribute to the appropriate design approach. During the second phase, design solutions will be proposed compared to the airport logo, its' visual and corporate identity, indoor and outdoor signage as well as promotional posters. An action research will be carried out for this study and then it will be commented on the conclusions that will result from the assessment of the design. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Το πρόβλημα που προσπαθεί να επιλύσει η πτυχιακή εργασία, είναι η υφιστάμενη κατάσταση του branding του Διεθνή Αερολιμένα της Λάρνακας, το οποίο χρήζει βελτίωσης σε σχέση με την ονομασία, την ταυτότητα και την προώθησή του, καθώς αυτά είναι προβληματικά. Ο πρακτικός σχεδιασμός έχει ως στόχο την εισήγηση μιας σχεδιαστικής λύσης σχετικά με τις ελλείψεις που υπάρχουν ως προς τη μοναδικότητα της οπτικής ταυτότητας, τις δυσλειτουργικές επιγραφές που υπάρχουν στο χώρο του αεροδρομίου και τη μη προώθησή του. Η μελέτη χωρίζεται σε δύο μέρη. Το πρώτο μέρος της πτυχιακής συμπεριλαμβάνει βιβλιογραφική ανασκόπηση, στην οποία μελετώνται υφιστάμενες έρευνες σχετικά με την έννοια της οπτικής ταυτότητας και με άλλες περιπτώσεις αεροδρομίων σε άλλες χώρες. Έπειτα, ακολουθεί συλλογή δεδομένων από εμπλεκόμενους, είτε εργαζόμενους είτε θαμώνες του χώρου, μέσω της οποίας θα γίνει καλύτερη ενημέρωση και κατανόηση των προβλημάτων, κάτι που θα συνεισφέρει στην κατάλληλη σχεδιαστική προσέγγιση. Στο δεύτερο μέρος προτείνονται σχεδιαστικές λύσεις για το λογότυπο του αεροδρομίου, γενικότερα για την οπτική ταυτότητά του, για επιγραφές εσωτερικού και εξωτερικού χώρου, καθώς και για αφίσες προώθησής του. Για τη μελέτη αυτή θα εφαρμοστεί έρευνα δράσης, ενώ συμπερασματικά θα σχολιαστούν τα αποτελέσματα που θα προκύψουν από την αξιολόγηση του σχεδιασμού, καθώς και οι μελλοντικές ενέργειες που θα προκύψουν. | en_US |
