dc.descriptionDesigning and developing web applications hold the lion's share worldwide today. Increasingly the platforms are being developed to facilitate our everyday lives. It is currently our key to both education and entertainment. The main purpose of this research was to design an interface for social purposes. Specifically, an online application targeted at young people is developing a promotion of volunteering activities that are taking place in Cyprus. The first research axis examines the emotion and the concept of volunteering in combination with understanding the situations and the behaviors of the target audience. The second research axis is the use of previous knowledge in the field of man-centered design, adherence to the principles of design incorporating gamification elements. The research focuses on the certain target audience (16 to 22 years old youngsters) and user experience while navigating. The aim was to develop a long-lasting relationship and commitment between the user and the application.en_US
dc.description.abstractΟ σχεδιασμός και η ανάπτυξη διαδικτυακών εφαρμογών κατέχει την μερίδα του λέοντος παγκόσμιος. Ολοένα και περισσότερο αναπτύσσονται πλατφόρμες για διευκόλυνση του σύγχρονου ανθρώπου όσον αφορά την καθημερινότητα, την εκπαίδευση, τη ψυχαγωγία. Σκοπός της παρούσας έρευνας αποτελεί ο σχεδιασμός διεπαφής για κοινωνικά ζητήματα. Συγκεκριμένα θα αναπτυχθεί διαδικτυακή εφαρμογή για προώθηση και εγγραφή σε εθελοντικές δράσεις που πραγματοποιούνται στην Κύπρο – στοχευμένη σε νεαρά άτομα. Βασικοί άξονες της έρευνας και σχεδίασης αποτέλεσαν: η έρευνα σχετικά με το συναίσθημα και την έννοια του εθελοντισμού, η μελέτη συμπεριφοράς του στοχευόμενου κοινού, η αξιοποίηση προηγούμενων γνώσεων στον τομέα του ανθρωποκεντρικού σχεδιασμού και η τήρηση των αρχών σχεδιασμού ενσωματώνοντας στοιχεία παιχνιδοποίησης. Η έρευνα επικεντρώνεται στο στοχευόμενο κοινό (νέοι ηλικίας 16-22 ετών), την εμπειρία του χρήστη κατά την πλοήγηση καθώς και την ανάπτυξη μιας μακροχρόνιας σχέσης και αφοσίωσης μεταξύ χρήστη και εφαρμογής.en_US
