This paper reports a new system that addresses a large number of Bragg grating sensors (BSGs) and gives high-resolution measurement of a perturbing field. The multiplexing scheme uses the inherent wavelength selectivity of the gratings combined with the allocation of spatially distinct detection channels for a number of sensors. The sensors' operation is facilitated by two concatenated interferometers. The demodulation of eight BSGs has been demonstrated.en_US
