| dc.description | This Thesis Study has as its primary objective the imprint of the Church of the Holy Cross of Pareklisia in Limassol, where through the application of the new technology of 3D laser scanning, the methodology of collection, elaboration and evaluation of the results is presented and analyzed. As a means to explore this topic, the thesis focuses on the laser scanning technology which is a digital method that accurately satisfies the documentation of objects, cultural heritage, archaeological sites or monuments. This method can be characterized as an “absolute documentation method” as this can be demonstrated by both high-precision and quality designs and the ability to create the 3D digital model with color and texture. The use of new digital technologies belongs within the indirect methods of recording. For instance, methods without direct contact with the item but with the use of photography, laser scanning, sound, light etc. In the main part of this thesis the procedure followed is shown in detail, as well as for each of the methods, their potential and their weaknesses. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Η διπλωματική αυτή εργασία έχει ως αντικείμενο μελέτης την αποτύπωση της Εκκλησίας Τιμίου Σταυρού Παρεκκλησιάς της επαρχίας Λεμεσού όπου μέσω της εφαρμογής της νέας τεχνολογίας τρισδιάστατης σάρωσης laser παρουσιάζεται και αναλύεται η μεθοδολογία της συλλογής, επεξεργασίας και αξιολόγησης των αποτελεσμάτων της σάρωσης του έργου αυτού. Η αποτύπωση με το laser είναι μια ψηφιακή μέθοδος που ικανοποιεί με μεγάλη ακρίβεια την τεκμηρίωση αντικειμένων, πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς, αρχαιολογικών χώρων ή ακόμα και μνημείων. Πλέον η μέθοδος αυτή μπορεί να χαρακτηρισθεί ως η «Απόλυτη Αποτύπωση», αφού αυτό αποδεικνύεται τόσο από τα σχέδια της υψηλής ακρίβειας και ποιότητας όσο και την δυνατότητα δημιουργίας του ψηφιακού τρισδιάστατου μοντέλου με χρώμα και υφή. Η χρήση των νέων ψηφιακών τεχνολογιών ανήκουν στην ενότητα των έμμεσων μεθόδων αποτύπωσης, δηλαδή μεθόδων χωρίς την άμεση επαφή με το αντικείμενο αλλά με χρήση της φωτογραφίας, σάρωσης με ακτίνες λέιζερ, ήχο, φως κ.α. Στο κύριο μέρος της εργασίας, παρουσιάζεται λεπτομερώς η διαδικασία που ακολουθήθηκε καθώς και για κάθε μία από τις μεθόδους, οι δυνατότητες που αυτές παρουσιάζουν, όπως και οι αδυναμίες τους. | en_US |
