| dc.description | Grapevine trunk diseases are considered one of the most serious problems in the grapevine cultivation since ancient times. The grapevine is plagued by diseases that affect both the overground part of the plant (trunk, arms and leaves) and the underground (roots). Vine trunk diseases are very harmful for the sustainability of the winemaking heritage because the pathogens responsible for these diseases attack the long-lastingorgans, causing the death of vines on shorter or longer term. In the present study, the identification of the complex of the grapevine trunk diseases in Cyprus was carried out. From shoots and arms samples taken from vineyards in the provinces of Limassol and Paphos, the grapevine trunk diseases were isolated, cultured on a PDA substrate and identified by molecular techniques using specific primers in PCR reactions.The results of pathogen identification (PCR) were introduced into a Geographic Information System (ArcGIS) where mapping of contaminated parcels was carried out and digital maps were created to illustrate the spreading and dispersion of pathogens. The publication of the digital maps will help viticultural producers to implement correctly the Community directives on the rational treatment thecomplex of the grapevine trunk diseases. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Οι ασθένειες του ξύλου της αμπέλου θεωρούνται ένα από τα σοβαρότερα προβλήματα στην καλλιέργεια της αμπέλου από αρχαιοτάτων χρόνων. Η άμπελος, μαστίζεται από ασθένειες που προσβάλλουν τόσο το υπέργειο μέρος του φυτού (κορμός, βραχίονες και φύλλα) όσο και το υπόγειο μέρος (ρίζες). Οι ασθένειες του ξύλου της αμπέλου απειλούν τη βιωσιμότητα της οινοποίησιμης κληρονομιάς, γιατί τα παθογόνα των ασθενειών αυτών προσβάλλουν τα πολυετή όργανα, προκαλώντας το θάνατο των πρεμνών τόσο βραχυπρόθεσμα όσο και μακροπρόθεσμα.Στα πλαίσια της παρούσας έρευνας,πραγματοποιήθηκε ταυτοποίηση του συμπλόκου των ασθενειών του ξύλου της αμπέλου στην Κύπρο. Από τις δειγματοληψίες βλαστών και βραχιόνων που λήφθηκαν από αμπελώνες στις επαρχίες Λεμεσού και Πάφου, απομονώθηκαν οι ασθένειες του ξύλου της αμπέλου, καλλιεργήθηκαν σε θρεπτικό υπόστρωμα PDA και ταυτοποιήθηκαν με μοριακές τεχνικές χρησιμοποιώντας εξειδικευμένους εκκινητέςσε αντιδράσεις PCR. Τα αποτελέσματα ταυτοποίησης των παθογόνων (PCR) εισάχθηκαν σεσύστημα γεωγραφικών πληροφοριών (ArcGIS) όπου πραγματοποιήθηκε χαρτογράφηση των μολυσμένων αγροτεμαχίωνκαι δημιουργία ψηφιακών χαρτών στους οποίουςαπεικονίζονται η εξάπλωση και η διασπορά των παθογόνων. Η δημοσιοποίηση των ψηφιακών χαρτών θα βοηθήσει τους αμπελοπαραγωγούς να εφαρμόσουν σωστά τις κοινοτικές οδηγίες για την ορθολογική αντιμετώπιση του ΣΑΞΑ. | en_US |
