Abstract
The present study dealt with the management of human resources and was completed through seven chapters. The first chapter was an introductory note emphasizing on the importance and purpose of the study. Subsequently, the second chapter defined the human resources management as a process and its connection with the operation of the shipping companies, while the differences based on the literature of the Human Resources Management and Personnel Management were also stressed. Then the procedures regarding the attraction, motivation and reward of the personnel were reported. The third chapter focused on the Human Resource Management strategy in relation to the shipping management models with reference to the application of strategic human resources management models. In the fourth chapter the research methodology was designed and the fifth chapter discussed the literature review of the subject. The sixth chapter dealt with the quantitative presentation of the articles. Finally the study was concluded with the epilogue. Finally, on the seventh chapter the results of the conducted qualitive research presented followed by the epilogue.
