Victor | ETKO Winery, Limassol, Cyprus | 16-07-2021 | “Victor”, an interactive/immersive performance inspired by the book “Frankenstein or The Modern Prometheus” by Mary Shelley. The protagonist of the book Victor Frankenstein creates and animates a new creature through chemical materials and old/dismembered body parts that belong to people who are no longer alive. In the play “Victor”, the viewer had the opportunity to experience but also to execute the story. The participants enter Victor’s workspace and pass through various interactive stations that give life to the creature. The choices which are made along the journey, in uence the nal performance. |
The Last Play | The Animatikkon Project 2021, Paphos | 06-08-2021 | The Last Play is a location based VR experience that explores themes of time travel and the passage of time within the confines of a theatre. The experience is told through 3 different mediums - a roomscale VR exploration, a website and a physical artspace. The work implements environmental storytelling to showcase a story wherein every participant walks away with a unique personal experience based on their discoveries in the space(s). The work started as a student project and it was further refined by MADLab. |
KIMOSPHERE 5.0 MAY 2017 QUEEN MARY FILM & DRAMA STUDIO THEATRE | Senate House and Queen Mary University | 01-05-2017 | Dap Lab has been invited to present the Kimosphere Series as part of the “Staging Atmospheres” event held at Senate House and Queen Mary University. Visitors are invited to enter the immersive space, wear the HTC Vive headset and enter into the augmented virtuality of the tamarind forest on Malagasy island - the environment where our fictional narrative conjures the Red Ghosts architecture staged around the theatre space. |
