Neophytos Lambertides is Professor in finance and Head of the Department of Commerce, Finance and Shipping at Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) since 2015. In the past, he has been Associate and Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce, Finance and Shipping at CUT in 2011-2020 and Lecturer in finance at Aston Business School (UK) in 2006-2011. He was designated as a Visiting Scholar at Columbia Business School in 2006. He received BSc in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Cyprus (1996-2000) and MSc in Financial Mathematics from the University of Warwick (2000-2001). He received his PhD in Finance from the University of Cyprus (2001-2006). He is working in the area of asset pricing and valuation specialized on the information content of distress risk and growth options. Dr Lambertides is (co)author of more than 30 published papers in top tier journals such as Management Science, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis (JFQA), Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of International Money and Finance, Journal of Empirical Finance, European Financial Management, Journal of International Financial Markets Institutions and Money, Transportation Research E, International Business Review, Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, Journal of Travel Research, and others. He contributed in various international academic conferences and workshops such as the American Finance Association (AFA), European Finance Association (EFA), Southern Finance Association, Financial Management Association, European Financial Management Conference, among others. He received research grant for his research work in UK from The Leverhulme Trust (UK). Professor Lambertides is member of various committees of international academic journals and acts as reviewer for a number of international academic journals. He is associate editor of the British Accounting Review journal, member of the academic committee of the International Journal of Accounting, and in the organizing committee of the European Accounting Association (2019) conference.
