Venetia Papa holds a degree in «Communication and Information» from the Université des Lettres , Arts et Sciences Humaines, Nice Sophia-Antipolis in France, a Master degree in «Political Science» from the Université de Droit et des Sciences Politiques de Nice Sophia-Antipolis in France and a Master in «Political Science: Governance, Political Career and Professional Politics» also from the Université de Droit et des Sciences Politiques de Nice Sophia-Antipolis in France. During 2007-2008 she worked as Parliamentary Assistant in the European Parliament, while in 2008-2009 she was an EU funding officer in the European Office of Cyprus in Brussels. Her research focuses mainly on the effects of the Media on the establishment and development of political culture and social ideology. In addition, she is interested in changes caused by the new political processes followed by the spread and use of multiple communication media and the way in which the latter reform the political world affect its format and differentiate the political affiliation and ideology of voters.
