Brief Description
Pop-Up Festival. During a speed dating session, 10 artists and 10 science and humanities experts found their "match". The teams were asked to work together to co-produce a work that could take visual, auditory, or sensory form. For the past 6 months, the participants of this project had to bypass conceptual and practical barriers in order to arrive to a final, but still evolving, work of art. The resulting works are presented in this exhibition.
"Fusion is the Future" is a project about the creative process and not the final result. It's about the negotiations that take place when one is confronted with individuals from different disciplines and backgrounds, and about trans-disciplinary "fusions" that can be challenging but, when they work, extremely creative and fruitful.
