| dc.description | Ensuring health and safety on construction sites is a priority for the well-being of workers and the prevention of accidents and deaths in the construction industry. Many countries have implemented regulations and policies to promote safe working conditions and practices, such as safety training programs, personal protective equipment, risk identification and assessment and management systems. However, challenges remain in terms of enforcement of safety measures, such as lack of safety culture among workers and management, inadequate funding, and enforcement mechanisms, and addressing these challenges is very important to prevent accidents and fatalities on construction sites. This thesis is a theoretical approach to health and safety on construction sites, presents accident prevention measures and methods of promoting health and safety at both management and employee levels in the construction sector. The increase in accidents and fatalities on construction sites can be attributed to the failure to identify and effectively enforce the responsibilities of the various stakeholders, and even the insufficient commitment of project managers has led to a deterioration of safety in the construction industry. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Η διασφάλιση της ασφάλειας και υγείας στα εργοτάξια αποτελεί προτεραιότητα για την ευημερία των εργαζομένων και την πρόληψη των ατυχημάτων και θανάτων στον κατασκευαστικό κλάδο. Πολλές χώρες έχουν εφαρμόσει κανονισμούς και πολιτικές για την προώθηση ασφαλών συνθηκών και πρακτικών εργασίας, όπως προγράμματα κατάρτισης σε θέματα ασφάλειας, εξοπλισμός ατομικής προστασίας, εντοπισμός και αξιολόγηση κινδύνων και συστήματα διαχείρισης. Ωστόσο, εξακολουθούν να υπάρχουν προκλήσεις όσον αφορά την επιβολή των μέτρων ασφαλείας, όπως η έλλειψη κουλτούρας ασφαλείας μεταξύ των εργαζομένων και της διοίκησης, η ανεπαρκής χρηματοδότηση και οι μηχανισμοί επιβολής, ενώ η αντιμετώπιση αυτών των προκλήσεων είναι πολύ σημαντική για την πρόληψη των ατυχημάτων και των θανάτων στα εργοτάξια. Η παρούσα πτυχιακή εργασία αποτελεί θεωρητική προσέγγιση της ασφάλειας και υγείας στα εργοτάξια, παρουσιάζει τα μέτρα πρόληψης των ατυχημάτων και τις μεθόδους προώθησης της ασφάλειας και υγείας, τόσο σε επίπεδο διαχειριστή έργου όσο και σε επίπεδο εργαζομένων του κατασκευαστικού τομέα. H αύξηση των ατυχημάτων και των θανατηφόρων περιστατικών στους χώρους των εργοταξίων, μπορεί να αποδοθεί στην αδυναμία αναγνώρισης και αποτελεσματικής επιβολής των ευθυνών των διαφόρων μελών, ενώ ακόμη και η ανεπαρκής δέσμευση των διαχειριστών των έργων έχει οδηγήσει σε υποβάθμιση της ασφάλειας στον κατασκευαστικό κλάδο. | en_US |
