| dc.description | This thesis examines the emerging genre of feminist pornography and its potential to challenge dominant views and structures in the wider porn industry. Using a combination of thematic analysis and individual interview analysis, the study explores gender relations, gender representation of the body and social roles performed in sex, and the audience's decoding of feminist pornography. Through the thematic analysis of a selected sample of feminist porn films, the research addresses key issues such as bodily self-determination and the celebration of sexuality, the prioritization of mutual pleasure over spectacle, respect and equality between the sexes, and the end in sexual objectification. The above reflects the main goals of feminist pornography, which seeks to challenge dominant pornographic norms. In addition, the study relies on interviews with consumers to explore their views on feminist pornography. These interviews reveal a range of attitudes towards the genre and what it promotes, including enthusiastic support, cautious optimism and disapproval. While some participants see feminist pornography as a positive force for change in the industry, others are skeptical and criticize its limitations. Overall, the study suggests that feminist pornography is a promising alternative to mainstream pornographic productions, offering a more ethical and empowering approach to sexual representation and expression. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Η παρούσα πτυχιακή εργασία εξετάζει το αναδυόμενο είδος της φεμινιστικής πορνογραφίας και τις δυνατότητες της να αμφισβητήσει κυρίαρχες απόψεις και δομές στην ευρύτερη βιομηχανία του πορνό. Χρησιμοποιώντας έναν συνδυασμό θεματικής ανάλυσης και ανάλυσης ατομικών συνεντεύξεων, η μελέτη διερευνά τις σεξουαλικές σχέσεις μεταξύ των φύλων, την αναπαράσταση των φύλων όσον αφορά το σώμα και τους κοινωνικούς ρόλους που επιτελούν στο σεξ, καθώς και την αποκωδικοποίηση όλων των παραπάνω από το κοινό της φεμινιστικής πορνογραφίας. Μέσω της θεματικής ανάλυσης ενός επιλεγμένου δείγματος ταινιών φεμινιστικού πορνό, η έρευνα θίγει βασικά ζητήματα, όπως η αυτοδιάθεση του σώματος και ο εορτασμός της σεξουαλικότητας, η προτεραιότητα στην αμοιβαία ευχαρίστηση έναντι του θεάματος, o σεβασμός και την ισότητα μεταξύ των δύο φύλων, και το τέλος στη σεξουαλική αντικειμενοποίηση. Τα παραπάνω αντικατοπτρίζουν τους βασικούς στόχους της φεμινιστικής πορνογραφίας, η οποία επιδιώκει να αμφισβητήσει τα κυρίαρχα πορνογραφικά πρότυπα. Επιπλέον, η μελέτη βασίζεται σε συνεντεύξεις με καταναλώτριες/ωτές για να διερευνήσει τις απόψεις τους για τη φεμινιστική πορνογραφία.
