Ένα ευρύ φάσμα φαρμακολογικών και μη φαρμακολογικών παρεμβάσεων είναι διαθέσιμο για την ανακούφιση του πόνου στον τοκετό. Η χρήση φαρμακολογικών παρεμβάσεων για τη διαχείριση του πόνου του τοκετού προσφέρει αποτελεσματικότητα στη μείωση του πόνου στις μέλλουσες μητέρες. Ωστόσο, τα μέτρα αυτά είναι δαπανηρή και σχετίζονται με ανεπιθύμητες ενέργειες τόσο στην μέλλουσα γυναίκα όσο και στο νεογνό. Οι μη φαρμακολογικές παρεμβάσεις υπόσχονται μείωση του πόνου του τοκετού, με ελάχιστη ή καθόλου βλάβη στο μητέρα, στο έμβρυο, στην πρόοδο του τοκετού και είναι απλές και οικονομικά αποδεκτές. | Description: | The pain experienced during childbirth is a complex, multidimensional, subjective phenomenon that causes significant levels of anxiety for both the expectant mother and her family, healthcare providers, and healthcare systems in general. A wide range of pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions is available for pain relief in childbirth. The use of pharmacological interventions for the management of childbirth pain offers effectiveness in reducing pain in expectant mothers. However, these measures are expensive and associated with adverse effects on both the expectant woman and the newborn.
