| dc.description | This study refers to the primary and secondary pre-seismic and post-earthquake assessments of existing buildings. Some methods of pre-earthquake assessments of buildings are presented to evaluate their resistance and anti-seismic capacity in the event of an earthquake for the safety of the building occupants, but also the safety of the buildings after the occurrence of a strong earthquake. The aim of the primary and secondary post-seismic assessments is the categorization them, according to their risk (damages, failures, seismic zone, type of soil) into three general categories and their subsequent repair, in order to restore the safety of their use. Are presented the pre-seismic methods of New Zealand, the American FEMA 154, the Cypriot method, the Italian method. The pre-earthquake tests of the American and Cypriot methods are applied, presenting the process of filling out the forms, the results and their comparison. Then, the pre-seismic methods of the American FEMA-154 and the Cypriot one are applied and compared to an existing building. At the end of this study, the general conclusions are noted for the importance of primary and secondary pre-earthquake and post-earthquake assessments and the methodologies that applied respectively. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Η εργασία αυτή αναφέρεται στον πρωτοβάθμιο και δευτεροβάθμιο προσεισμικό και μετασεισμικό έλεγχο υφιστάμενων κτηρίων. Παρουσιάζονται κάποιες από τις μεθόδους προσεισμικού ελέγχου των κτηρίων για την αξιολόγηση της αντοχής και της αντισεισμικής τους ικανότητας σε ενδεχόμενο σεισμού για την ασφάλεια των ενοίκων των κτηρίων, αλλά και την ασφάλεια των κτηρίων μετά την εκδήλωση ενός ισχυρού σεισμού. Στόχος του πρωτοβάθμιου και δευτεροβάθμιου μετασεισμικού ελέγχου είναι η κατηγοριοποίηση ανάλογα με την επικινδυνότητα τους (βλάβες, αστοχίες, σεισμική ζώνη, έδαφος) σε γενικότερα τρεις κατηγορίες και η μετέπειτα επισκευή τους, για την αποκατάσταση της ασφάλειας χρήσης τους. Παρουσιάζονται οι προσεισμικοί μέθοδοι Νέας Ζηλανδίας, του Αμερικανικού FEMA 154, την Κυπριακής μεθόδου, της Ιταλικής. Γίνεται εφαρμογή των προσεισμικών ελέγχων της Αμερικανικής και την Κυπριακής μεθόδου παρουσιάζοντας την διαδικασία συμπλήρωσης των εντύπων, τα αποτελέσματα και την σύγκριση τους γενικότερα. Έπειτα, γίνεται εφαρμογή και σύγκριση των προσεισμικών μεθόδων της Αμερικανικής FEMA-154 και της Κυπριακής σε υφιστάμενο κτήριο. Στο τέλος της παρούσας εργασίας, σημειώνονται τα γενικά συμπεράσματα για την σημαντικότητα του πρωτοβάθμιου και δευτεροβάθμιου του προσεισμικού και μετασεισμικού ελέγχου και των μεθοδολογιών που εφαρμόζονται αντίστοιχα. | en_US |
