| dc.description | The indigenous wine variety ‘Promara’ is first mentioned in the literature in 1893. The ‘Promara’ is a white wine variety that is cultivated in minimal areas in the five zones of protected branded wines established by the Cypriot legislation. The present dissertation is based on the study of the morphological characteristics of this variety. Mainly the morphology of the mature leaf, the various characteristics of the bunch and the berry were studied. To identify our characteristic, the descriptive indicators of the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV) were followed. The present dissertation (with the collaboration of Vlasidis Winery) took place in the vineyard of the winery which is located in the village of Koilani and the province of Limassol, during the growing season 2021 (June to August). The phenological stages observed mainly concerned the mature leaves, the inflorescence, the bunch and the berry. The variety 'Promara' is characterized by a wedge-shaped leaf, has about 7 lobes and presents diversity in the presence of teeth. At the bottom of the leaf a dense system of hairs between the nerves as well as on the nerves can be found, and probably this anatomical feature helps to adapt the ‘Promara’ cultivar to dry soils. other features found are that ‘Promara’ has a round berry and its’ skin colour is ‘yellow gold’ and has pits without transverse streaks on the side. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Η γηγενής οινοποιήσιμη ποικιλία ‘Πρωμάρα’ αναφέρεται για πρώτη φόρα στη βιβλιογραφία το 1893. H ‘Πρωμάρα’ είναι λευκή ποικιλία η οποία καλλιεργείται σε ελάχιστες έκτασης στης πέντε ζώνες οίνων προστατευμένης ονομασίας που θεσπίστηκαν από τη Κυπριακή νομοθεσία. Η παρούσα πτυχιακή εργασία βασίζεται στην μελέτη των μορφολογικών χαρακτηριστικών στης ποικιλίας αυτής. κυρίως μελετήθηκαν η μορφολογία του ώριμου φύλλου, τα διάφορα χαρακτηριστικά του τσαμπιού και της ράγας. Για τον εντοπισμών των χαρακτηριστικό μας ακολουθήθηκαν οι περιγραφικοί δείκτες του Διεθνούς Οργανισμού Αμπέλου και Οίνου (OIV). Η παρούσα πτυχιακή μετά από συνεργασία με το Οινοποιείο Βλασίδη πραγματοποιήθηκε στο αμπελώνα του οινοποιείου που είναι στο χωριό Κοιλάνι που βρίσκεται στην επαρχία Λεμεσού, κατά την διάρκεια της καλλιεργητικής περιόδου 2021 (Ιούνιο μέχρι Αύγουστο). Τα φαινολογικά στάδια που παρατηρήθηκαν αφορούσαν κυρίως τα ώριμα φύλλα, την ταξιανθία, το τσαμπί και την ράγα. Η ποικιλία ‘Πρωμάρα’ χαρακτηρίζεται με σφηνοειδές σχήμα φύλλων, παρουσιάζει περίπου 7 λοβούς και ποικιλομορφία στην παρουσία δοντιών. Στο κάτω μέρος του φύλλου εντοπίζεται πυκνό σύστημα τριχίδιων ανάμεσα στα νεύρα όπως και πάνω στα νεύρα και πιθανώς αυτό το ανατομικό χαρακτηριστικό βοηθάει στην προσαρμογή της ‘Πρωμάρας’ σε ξηρικά εδάφη. άλλα χαρακτηριστικά που βρέθηκαν είναι ότι η ‘Πρωμάρα’ έχει στρογγυλή ράγα και το χρώμα του δέρματος της είναι ‘yellow gold’ και παρουσιάζει κουκούτσια χωρίς εγκάρσιες ραβδώσεις στο πλάι. | en_US |
