dc.descriptionIn the context of this paper, an attempt will be made, through the bibliographic review, to define the concept of "smart city" theoretically but also different concepts related to this term. Next will be a report on d the structural elements and its main characteristics, the different types of construction of such act and, the success and failure (pros and cons) factors of these various models, as they have been identified and recorded by the various scholars from their observation from the beginning of the application of specific examples of "smart cities". On the second part of the paper will be followed of various European, international and Greek cases recorded in the literature that they applied some type of "smart city". Research will follow on whether efforts have been made to implement a "smart city" model and what are the future plans for it. Next will be any possible EU funding to encourage the development of such projects and which ones will continue to draw conclusions about the pros and cons of expanding and creating more "smart cities". In conclusion, will be proposed some ideas that could be implemented in Cyprus.en_US
dc.description.abstractΣτο πλαίσιο της παρούσας εργασίας, θα γίνει αρχικά μία προσπάθεια, μέσω της βιβλιογραφικής επισκόπησης, να ορισθεί θεωρητικά η έννοια της «έξυπνης πόλης» αλλά και διαφορετικές έννοιες που σχετίζονται με τον όρο αυτό . Ακολούθως θα αναφερθούν τα δομικά στοιχεία και τα κύρια χαρακτηριστικά της, οι διάφοροί τύποι δόμησης μια τέτοιας πόλης, οι παράγοντες επιτυχίας και αποτυχίας των διαφόρων αυτών μοντέλων, όπως αυτά έχουν εντοπιστεί και καταγραφή οπό τους διάφορους μελετητές από την παρακολούθηση τους από την αρχή της εφαρμογής των συγκεκριμένων παραδειγμάτων « έξυπνων πόλεων». Στο δεύτερο σκέλος της εργασίας θα ακολουθήσει μελέτη διαφόρων Ευρωπαϊκών, διεθνών και Ελληνικών περιπτώσεων που καταγράφονται από την βιβλιογραφία ότι εφάρμοσαν κάποιο τύπο «έξυπνης πόλης». Ακόμα θα ακολουθήσει έρευνα κατά πόσο έχουν γίνει προσπάθειες εφαρμογής κάποιου μοντέλου «έξυπνης πόλης» αλλά και ποια είναι τα μελλοντικά σχέδια γι’ αυτό. Στην συνέχεια θα αναφερθούν τυχών χρηματοδοτήσεις από την Ε.Ε για την αναθάρρησή ανάπτυξης τέτοιων σχεδίων και, ποια θα εξαχθούν συμπεράσματα για το ποια είναι τα θετικά και αρνητικά της εξάπλωσης και δημιουργίας περισσοτέρων «έξυπνων πόλεων» . Εν κατακλείδι θα προταθούν μερικές ιδέες που θα μπορούσαν να βρουν εφαρμογή στην Κύπρο.en_US
