| dc.description | The dissertation under the title “creative Documentary: The Symbolism in the Cinema Case study the symbol of suitcase” was conceived and executed by the senior student Stavrini Toulekki during the fall semester of 2017 for the Department of Communication and Internet Studies of Cyprus University of Technology, under the supervision of Dr. Petros Charalambous, and it was completed in May 2021. The result of the dissertation is a short documentary film. The documentary focuses on the investigation held by the divers in the Red Lake in Mitsero and in Lake Memi in Xyliatos for the case of the Cypriot serial killer Nikos Metaxas. The documentary also touches on the social concern of this case. It follows a specific reenacted political happening that was held by the network opposing violence against women, which concerned the seven victims in the case of Nikos Metaxas. Therefore, the central theme of the documentary is the symbol of the suitcase, which plays an important role in the life of the character, as the experience he had in the research and where some of the bodies were found in suitcases contrasts with the fact that he likes to travel. He is constantly with a suitcase in his hands. The documentary is a narration of Angelo’s Nikolaou experience as the main character of the film during the investigation of the “Orestes” case, but the social concern for this fact is also expressed in the context of a single audiovisual material. The report analyzes the documentary, more specifically the Creative Documentary and which are the parameters that define the creative documentary. The symbol and metaphors to the Cinema are also analyzed while the types of symbols and metaphors are mentioned. In addition, the stages of creating the documentary film, which were followed for the implementation, where: the development, pre-production, production and post-production are also analyzed. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Η παρούσα πτυχιακή εργασία με τίτλο «Δημιουργικό Ντοκιμαντέρ: Ο συμβολισμός στον Κινηματογράφο μελέτη περίπτωσης το σύμβολο της ταξιδιωτικής βαλίτσας» εκπονήθηκε από την Σταυρινή Τουλέκκη, φοιτήτρια του η’ εξαμήνου του Τμήματος Επικοινωνίας και Σπουδών Διαδικτύου του Τεχνολογικού Πανεπιστημίου Κύπρου υπό την επίβλεψη του κ. Πέτρου Χαραλάμπους και ολοκληρώθηκε τον Μάιο του 2021. Αποτέλεσμα της πτυχιακής εργασίας είναι η δημιουργία μιας ταινίας ντοκιμαντέρ μικρού μήκους. Η ταινία ντοκιμαντέρ επικεντρώνεται στις έρευνες της υπόθεσης των δυτών στην Κόκκινη λίμνη στο Μιτσερό και στην λίμνη Μεμί στον Ξυλιάτο για την υπόθεση του Κύπριου κατά συρροή δολοφόνου Νίκου Μεταξά. Επίσης στην ταινία ντοκιμαντέρ θίγεται και η κοινωνική ανησυχία για το συγκεκριμένο γεγονός όπου πραγματοποιήθηκε ένα πολιτικό δρώμενο από το δίκτυο ενάντια στη βία κατά των γυναικών που αφορούσε τα επτά θύματα στην υπόθεση του Νίκου Μεταξά. Έτσι το κεντρικό θέμα της ταινίας ντοκιμαντέρ αποτελεί το σύμβολο της ταξιδιωτικής βαλίτσας όπου διαδραματίζει σημαντικό ρόλο στην ζωή του χαρακτήρα καθώς η εμπειρία που έζησε στης έρευνες και ότι κάποιες από τις σορούς βρέθηκαν σε ταξιδιωτικές βαλίτσες αντιπαρέρχεται με το γεγονός ότι του αρέσουν τα ταξίδια και στην ουσία ταξιδεύει συνεχώς με μία ταξιδιωτική βαλίτσα. Η ταινία ντοκιμαντέρ αποτελεί αφήγηση της εμπειρίας του Άγγελου Νικολάου του χαρακτήρα της ταινίας κατά την διάρκεια των ερευνών στην υπόθεση «Ορέστη» όμως εκφράζεται και η κοινωνική ανησυχία για το γεγονός αυτό στο πλαίσιο ενός ενιαίου οπτικοακουστικού υλικού. Στην παρούσα γραπτή αναφορά αναλύεται το ντοκιμαντέρ πιο συγκεκριμένα το δημιουργικό ντοκιμαντέρ και ποιες είναι οι παράμετροι που ορίζουν το δημιουργικό ντοκιμαντέρ. Επίσης αναλύονται το σύμβολο και η μεταφορά στον Κινηματογράφο και αναφέρονται τα είδη συμβόλων και μεταφορών. Επιπρόσθετα αναλύονται και τα στάδια δημιουργίας της ταινίας ντοκιμαντέρ που πραγματοποιήθηκαν για την υλοποίηση όπου είναι η ανάπτυξη, η προ-παραγωγή, η παραγωγή και η μετα-παραγωγή. | en_US |
