| dc.description | The present MA thesis deals with Italian Futurism and its relation to Fascism. The course of Futurism and Fascism is inextricably linked through the meeting and interaction of their leaders, Filippo Tommaso Marinetti and Benito Mussolini. Initially, i refer to the pioneers of futurist art, the artworks and the futurists’ manifestos. Afterwards the thesis examines through the rhetoric of violence and war the interaction of the two ideologies from the participation of their leaders to demonstrations, which had as their ultimate goal the awakening of national consciousness and the promotion of a call to arms for national regeneration. Subsequently i examine the brief breach and the future adjustment of futurism with the Fascist regime. Finally, I examine the second artistic futurist movement, focusing on murals and portable aeropaintings. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Η παρούσα μεταπτυχιακή διατριβή ασχολείται με τον ιταλικό εικαστικό Φουτουρισμό, δίνοντας έμφαση στην σχέση του με τον Φασισμό. Η πορεία τόσο του Φουτουρισμού όσο και του ιταλικού Φασισμού είναι άρρηκτα δεμένη με την γνωριμία και την αλληλεπίδραση των δύο ηγετών τους , Filippo Tommaso Marinetti και Benito Mussolini. Αρχικά γίνεται αναφορά στους πρωτεργάτες εικαστικούς Φουτουριστές και στους προγραμματικούς τους στόχους Στην συνέχεια, με αναφορά στη ρητορική της βίας και του πολέμου, διερευνώνται οι αλληλεπιδράσεις ε των φουτουριστικών αισθητικών αρχών και της φασιστικής ιδεολογίας και γίνεται αναφορά σε επεμβατικές εκδηλώσεις που είχαν ως στόχο την αφύπνιση της εθνικής συνείδησης και την προώθηση πολεμικών μηνυμάτων για την ιταλική εθνική παλιγγενεσία. Ακολούθως παρουσιάζεται η ρήξη και η προσαρμογή του Φουτουρισμού στο φασιστικό καθεστώς για την επιβίωσή του. Σε αυτό το πλαίσιο, εξετάζεται η δεύτερη φάση του φουτουριστικού εικαστικού κινήματος μέσα από τις τοιχογραφίες και τους φορητούς πίνακες της Αεροζωγραφικής. | en_US |
